“After looking into a whole lot of ski shops along the path to the Gondola in Bansko, we finally chose the one right next to it called Inter Bansko Ski Centre. Not only was it affordable, but it was also the shortest possible walking distance to the Gondola in the midst of a heavy snowfall, in ski boots and carrying the equipment. A chap with curly hair called Christian guided us very professionally, but hilariously, through all the prep for skiing the previous day - from trying out the shoes for size to trying the helmets for comfort. The ski instructor Jordan was also extremely patient, taking us through all the basics on the slopes. What I loved about this ski experience was that no one tried to scam us even once through the entire experience. There were no pitches or demands for "tips" and no additional costs (apart from the Gondola ride, which everyone has to purchase a ski pass separately for anyway). The slopes were stunning - great views, great options (beginner, intermediate, advanced and extreme). Grateful for the guidance (even secret bits of advice on scams to avoid) and the equipment from Inter Banski, which made this a truly magical experience with snowfall on Christmas morning. Christian, who offers great tips and tricks, also recommended an incredibly beautiful local, homely restaurant (called Restaurant Kristi), which served us the most delicious mixed Sach (think a filling meal of mixed cuts of juicy barbecued meat with vegetables served on a steaming pan). He also suggested the best pub in Bansko called Tipsy 360 (right around the corner, which proved to be a true hidden gen). Anyway, before I digress, Inter Bansko is so much more than just a ski escape. It's a gateway to a great experience for everyone visiting Bansko.”
